Whether as a student, a teacher, a parent, or even a policymaker, you have formed memories and experiences in the extensive field of schooling.
Well, congratulations, as that qualifies you to be an active member of the Teacher How community. Your curiosity and will to acquire knowledge – which is why you are here, right? – is what will help this community to develop and grow.
Here, at Teacher How, the aim is to shed light on teacher-related matters, with the added bonus of offering some advice and guidance to those bold enough to teach. If you have a question about teaching, let a teacher provide you with the know-how.

Who is Teacher How
The individual behind Teacher How, Mustafa Onay, has been described by his students and colleagues as having an immense dedication and passion for teaching.
While a student himself navigating through high school and college, the guidance and devotion he saw from particular tutors left a huge impact on him. Ultimately, following in their footsteps in becoming an outstanding teacher became his ambition.
On his journey to achieving this, he graduated from university in the UK with a First Class Honours in BA Sociology, before completing the PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate of Education) teacher qualification course.
And so began his teaching practice; initially working as a substitute teacher in schools across London, and then moving to Dubai, UAE, for the start of his international teaching career.
After six notable years in two separate schools in the UAE, one following the UK National curriculum while the other being an IB curriculum school, Mustafa was ready for a change in scenery and made the move to beautiful Sweden.
There, he got an insight into the much-celebrated Scandinavian education system while working for an IB curriculum international school.
Fast forward to now; he continues to work closely with children from kindergarten to grade 6 but is also focused on sharing his experiences and knowledge on anything teaching-related.
